Mizin Park Kawasaki, M.D., F.A.A.P.
A graduate of Cornell University and the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Dr. Kawasaki did her internship and second year of pediatric residency at the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital in Ohio. She married and moved to Los Angeles to complete her third year of residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Kawasaki entered private practice as a general pediatrician in 1989 and worked full-time with Dr. Sheldon Kishineff in North Hollywood. She retired from medical practice for several years to rear two children. She has worked with Dr. Kenneth Saul since 2008 and maintains a full-time office-based practice. She is currently not affiliated with any hospitals.
Dr. Kawasaki is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Kawasaki practices conventional and preventive medicine. She hopes to provide patients and their parents with meaningful information and guidance so that they may develop and maintain lifelong healthy eating and lifestyle habits. Over the years, Dr. Kawasaki has written essays for parenting magazines (Nurturing in Canada and Pumpkin in Japan). She has also published a book on breastfeeding and maternal care.
She and her husband Arnold currently live in Thousand Oaks. Their son, a graduate of New York University, is pursuing art in Los Angeles. Their daughter, a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont, is completing her anesthesia residency in New York City.
